Bhubaneswar: A photo journalist was allegedly manhandled by a policeman deployed outside Kalinga Stadium here on Thursday.
According to reports, a photo journalist identified as Rakesh Roul was taking pictures when the New Zealand hockey team was entering the stadium.
The policeman, who was escorting the players got down and abused Roul before pushing him to the ground. His camera was also snatched away and returned later, reports stated.
Journalists expressed strong dissent of police highhandeness in this case. DCP Prateek Singh assured a resolution within 72 hours, following an inquiry.
