Balasore: Some miscreant torched a house at Alipur village under Talanagar gram panchayat in Soro block of Balasore district on Friday night.
Reportedly, Maheswar Barik of the village was fast asleep with his family when at around 1 am he suddenly heard the cracking sound of burning bamboo.
When he got up, he found that there was a fire at the back of the house. He alerted his family members and informed the villagers and fire brigade.
As per Barik, he had a fight with some person yesterday. It is suspected that the same person set the house on fire. Around three rooms of the house were gutted in the fire.
