Berhampur: The CBI today arrested a Marketing Officer of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana Swarup Kumar Panda for allegedly taking Rs 15,000 as bribe for granting a license to one Naidu Dibakar of Kukudakhandi for a Janaushadhi Kendra.
The CBI today conducted raids at the Harekrushna Nagar residence of Panda in Berhampur. The CBI arrested Panda after seizing the bribe amount from his residence, reports said.
“He had demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 from me for granting a license for Janaushadhi Kendra. I informed the PMO about his demand. The CBI today arrested him,” said Naidu Dibakar, the complainant.
