Rourkela: A liquor shop employee was looted of Rs 14.93 lakh by a couple of miscreants here today morning. The broad daylight robbery occured near Rourkela Municipal Corporation office here.
The act was committed at around 8:30 am, when two masked youths came on a motorcycle and snatched the cash bag from one Prasant Biswal, the liquor shop employee.
There was no registration plate on the bike, said onlookers adding that the robbers threatened Biswal with a firearm and a knife. Uditnagar police have registered a case and have launched a manhunt to nab the accused duo.
