Bhubaneswar: HDFC Bank launched a Mega Loan Mela in Balugaon on the occasion of Branch relocation on Tuesday.
Khordha Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy and Commanding Officer, INS Chilika CMDE NP Pradeep graced the loan mela in order to increase credit flow in the rural economy and to help the marginalized sector, said an official press note.
The local Block Chairman, Sarpanch, and Market Committee members participated in the loan mela.
Bank officials Animesh Biswal Vice President and Swasish Mohapatra, Sustainable Livelihood Initiative State Head facilitated the Loan Mela.
HDFC Bank which is increasing its rural presence in Odisha started Gold Loan also from the new premises.
SHG loans were disbursed to five Women SHG Groups and cheques were handed over to Women SHG’s group of Chilka and Banpur.
HDFC Bank also disbursed loans to the fisheries and agriculture sector and also for tractors and commercial vehicles. Disbursement cheques were handed over by Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy and Commodore N P Pradeep.
Deepak Kumar Singh, Zonal Head, HDFC Bank, Odisha stated that HDFC Bank is committed to providing world-class services and all types of loans in the rural pockets. Singh said that the Bank will also expand its ATM, BC Points, and branches in Odisha to help achieve the objective of financial inclusion in the State.
Singh reiterated that HDFC Bank will add another 34 branches in this financial year in Odisha.
