Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has rescheduled the Out Patient Department (OPD) timing of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) and Capital Hospital, here.
“In order to cater to the increasing patient load and to comply with the National Medical Commission (NMC) norms, the Government has been pleased to reschedule the OPD timing of PGIMER and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with a lunch break between 01:00 PM to 02.00 PM and Emergency Hours from 05:00 PM to 09:00 AM,” said an official press release issued by the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.
The H&FW Department issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (Nov 16).
Earlier, the OPD timing of Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar was 08:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar has been established by the government for imparting PG Courses in 11 clinical and four non-clinical/para-clinical disciplines. Among the clinical Departments, the National Medical Commission (NMC), has approved for admission in 24 PG seats in 06 Departments from the academic year 2022-23.
