Cuttack: For the first time ever, a replica of Orissa High Court was inaugurated at the Balijatra ground in Cuttack on Wednesday by Chief Justice S. Muralidhar.
After the inauguration, Justice Muralidhar said that people should know more and more about how the system works, who makes it work and what are the different organs of the judiciary.
“I am very happy that we got a space in the Balijatra to showcase the activities of the judiciary. I am sure many people will learn many more things about what happens within the judiciary and it is their institution. That will make us more transparent and more accountable to them and to the constitution,” he added.
After a gap of two years due to the Covid pandemic, the Balijatra commenced in Cuttack on Tuesday and will go on till 16 November, 2022. It commemorates the glorious ancient maritime legacy of Kalinga (present-day Odisha).
