Barpali: Barpali police on Saturday recovered the body of a youth from a roadside drain on the Kainra Tikra road in Bargarh district.
The deceased has been identified as Asish Sahoo (35) alias Tuna of Madhya Pada locality of Barpali. Ashish had not returned to his house since Thursday night.
His family members had frantically searched for him but in vain. From the circumstances in which the body was found with a huge boulder placed on the face, it is suspected to be a case of murder.
Police after registering a case of murder have launched an investigation into the matter with the help of the forensic team and sniffer dog.
Barpali IIC Rosalin Patel has said that things will be clear after the investigation is over.
