Dhenkanal: The police here have arrested the main accused in the firing incident which occured near a steel plant boundary wall in Meramandali. Total three persons arrested in this case have been identified as Sweta Kumar (wife of the victim Ravi Kumar), Rahul Kumar (brother-in-law of Ravi) and his associate Gautam Kumar.
Dhenkanal SP Loganayagi Divya V said that illicit relationship between Sweta and Rahul was the reason behind this near-fatal attack. Ravi is battling with death at SCB MCH in Cuttack. A resident of Bihar, Ravi’s wife had an illicit relationship with his sister’s husband Rahul. All the three accused have been booked on serious criminal charges and forwarded to the court.
